JOB CLASSIFICATION
Pay grade level: Grade 12
Compensation: $44,267-$60,867. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.

SUMMARY
To create and maintain records of financial data and transactions that can be summarized for various uses. Along with processing payments via various tenders and other related work as required.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Collect tuition and fees and balance collections to receipts.
  • Monitor student accounts for billing adjustments and overdue charges for collection processing.
  • Investigate and respond to student, administration, employee, and vendor inquiries.
  • Assist with answering the telephone and providing customer service.
  • Process third-party billing for dual/concurrent enrollment high school students.
  • Data Entry of invoices and requests for payments related to grant-funded purchases; assist with reconciling and monitoring grant funds.
  • Balance and fund cash bags related to TEC agency sales and Bookstore sales.
  • Perform other duties related to the Business Office as assigned by the Director of Budget and Purchasing.

  • Work well in a high-volume office with many interruptions throughout the day.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student, staff, and outside vendor population.
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma/ GED equivalent and five (5) years relevant experience OR 
  • Associate or higher degree and two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to perform various accounting duties and use computerized accounting software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key with efficiency and speed, as well as computer skills.
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting/bookkeeping, and cash handling experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience reconciling and monitoring budgets.
  • Experience with Ellucian.

WORK SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
