SUMMARY
The High School Partnership Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administering of student recruitment, retention programming, and community outreach initiatives with KCKCC’s high school partners, faculty, and staff to foster educational growth and development and guidance aligned with the mission and strategic objectives of Kansas City Kansas Community College. Reporting to the Assistant Director. The HSP Coordinator provides prompt, high-quality, professional, courteous customer service to support students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Act as the primary liaison between KCKCC and high school counselors, assisting in creating recruitment materials like brochures and handouts.
  • Guide prospective students, families, current students, high school staff, and faculty on admissions and dual/concurrent enrollment.
  • Coordinate and implement dual and concurrent enrollment programs with high school consortiums in the KCKCC service area under the direction of the Assistant Director of High School Partnership.
  • Develop and maintain reports to communicate with high school counselors and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high school partners to grow HSP programs and services.
  • Advise students on career pathways, organize student and parent information nights, and facilitate activities with high schools and KCKCC services to support shared educational goals.
  • Process HSP course enrollments, sections, and student applications efficiently.
  • Verify all prerequisites are met before enrollment.
  • Update HSP forms and advising materials annually.
  • Coordinate orientation for new instructors and plan annual professional development for concurrent staff.
  • Conduct community outreach through family information nights to attract high school partnership participants.
  • Coordinate fall and spring in-service sessions for counselors in line with KBOR guidelines.
  • Manage student documents within the college’s imaging system.
  • Maintain and organize resource materials as required.
  • Collaborate with the Registrar and Business Office to ensure accurate billing and course tracking for dual-credit students.
  • Provide necessary enrollment documents to students, families, and facilitators.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of HSP to establish HSP policies and procedures.
  • Participate in committees to enhance HSP.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of High School Partnership and the Vice President of Global and Innovative Programming.

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  • High energy, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and establish credibility with all levels of students, faculty and staff in the organization and community partners.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • The capacity to represent the College at local agencies/organizations activities and group meetings and support aligned goals for KCKCC’s programs and services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in education or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of full-time progressively responsible experience with a demonstrated record in student affairs and enrollment management technology systems
  • Must be willing to travel to local high schools.
  • Demonstrated record and a high degree of comfort with technology and data management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree working with high school dual and concurrent enrollment programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with academic advising.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a student database platform, customer relationship management or similar software system.
  • Multilingual writing and speaking proficiency.

WORK SCHEDULE
Standard work hours are between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
