SUMMARY
The Project Director is a grant funded position that will lead and oversee the development and execution of Entrepreneurship Education Initiative ensuring its strategic alignment, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. This role requires a visionary leader with strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills leading teams to identify, evaluate, and launch new ventures, often by managing project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships while fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to drive impact and success.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Prepare, oversee, and maintain project budget as outlined by requirements/program specifications, and submit required reports.
- Manage Project database, communication plan, stakeholder engagement, social media.
- Prepare and submit all formative and summative reports.
- Creates programs and strategies to further the goals and mission of the Entrepreneurship Education Initiative.
- Conduct a planning process to identify unmet needs, growth opportunities, and key stakeholders for the expansion of entrepreneurship education opportunities in the KC region.
- Develop programs, activities, and services that increase project enrollment and skills attainment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the implementation of a K-12 to post-secondary pathway focused on expanding entrepreneurship education opportunities.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement internal standard operational procedures.
- In collaboration with divisional leadership & KCKCC’s institutional grant department, seek out and monitor applicable grant and scholarships; track and communicate awards to other areas of the college for disbursement.
- Research entrepreneurship trends and local economic ecosystem.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned support staff.
- Provide regular reports and metrics in support of entrepreneurship and education programs and models.
- Provide leadership in the future grant writing cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience leading entrepreneurial ecosystem initiatives and developing strategic industry partnerships.
- Strong grant writing and management experience, with a track record of securing and sustaining funding.
- Background in the development and management of large-scale entrepreneurship education initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in program management, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
- Background in development and management of large-scale initiatives.
- Customer service experience, with emphasis on client relations.
- Passion for entrepreneurship and education and a commitment to driving positive change.
- Previous supervisory experience.

WORK SCHEDULE
Assigned 40-hour work week, during Monday through Friday 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
This position is structured to support the success of multiple grants, which is sustained through the use of multiple funds including but not limited to indirect funds.
