Compensation: $35,624 - $48,983. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.

SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant ensures that students, employees, and visitors receive exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for front line communications, including but not limited to answering telephone inquiries, providing navigational assistance, and providing general technical support.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Greets students and visitors, ensuring a welcome learning environment.
- Answers and directs phone calls to appropriate personnel.
- Schedules appointments, workshops, and room reservations.
- Responsible for posting digital content and ordering print materials to support the department.
- Maintains updates on the College intranet, MyDotte. This includes the Learning & Library Services team site as well as KCKCC Announcements.
- Assists with general office paperwork (For example: Requests for Purchase, Tutoring Requests, and Local Travel Requests).
- Assists with distribution and data entry for departmental surveys and assessments.
- Prepares reports and assists with creation of documents and supplementary materials to support department objectives.
- Assist students with general computer issues, such as logging into Self Service and printing.
- Monitors department inventory.
- Submits Help Desk tickets, as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with students and faculty.
- Detail oriented.
- Basic familiarity with common software and devices (Microsoft Office, Windows Operating System, Blackboard).
- Ability to work in an active environment with the capability to multitask.
- Excellent customer service skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in receptionist, secretarial, customer service, business operations, or a related setting.
- Associate degree or higher.
- Relevant Administrative Assistant certification(s).
- Proficient in graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Prezi, etc.).
- Experience working in higher education.

WORK SCHEDULE
Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, which may include evening and weekend hours. Below is the proposed schedule, designed to align with both building access and the department’s standard operating hours:
- Monday through Thursday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (CT)
- Friday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CT)
