JOB CLASSIFICATION
Pay grade level: Grade 10
Compensation: $35,624 - $48,983. 
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.

SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant, Human Resources (HR), will perform administrative tasks and provide services to support the efficient operation of the organization’s HR division.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, students, and visitors  that visit the Human Resources Division and provide  professional  interaction and provide high quality customer service.
  • Provide administrative support to all functional areas within the Human Resources Team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resources files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to email inquiries, and route to the appropriate individuals while providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and/or the Director of Employee Relations | Title IX Coordinator.
  • Provide back-up to Executive Administrative Assistant and Benefits Coordinator in the performance of duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to  maintain the highest level of professionalism and strictest of confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and establish credibility with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, or related software. 
  • Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of documented experience in an office setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or higher degree.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience working in Human Resources Management.
  • Bilingual.

WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and sit. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift items.


WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week,  Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hours to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
