Job Purpose

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is always searching for Concurrent Instructors who are creative, open to change, have a passion for learning and are willing to promote the mission of KCKCC. Concurrent Instructor positions would be for areas within the academic divisions: Humanities and Communications, Social and Behavioral Sciences and Public Service, Math, Science, and Computer Technology, Health Professions, Career and Technical Education.
 

Application materials for this concurrent position are accepted on an on-going basis. To be considered for this position the individual must be employed through a partnering school district. Candidates should work closely with their school district and the High School Partnership Program personnel for the hiring process.
 

Position Description

  • Instruct high school concurrent students according to KCKCC syllabus
  • Use of Blackboard for weekly grades
  • Use of WebAdvisor for roster reconciliation and grade reporting
  • Regular correspondence and communication with High School Partnership Program personnel

Position Qualifications and/or Education


Minimum Qualifications and/or Education

  • Master’s degree within the discipline or a master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate credits in the specific discipline is required. Qualifications to teach a career and technical education course vary by discipline
  • High School Principal approval
  • The candidate must meet the same minimum qualifications as all instructors teaching in the respective discipline for KCKCC courses
