Supervises: Motorcycle instructor on duty

Position type: Part-Time 12-16 hours weekly

Job Purpose: To get the Motorcycle range ready for the classes.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Range Aide works under the supervision of the Motorcycle Rider Coaches during the two days of riding exercises on the motorcycle training range at KCKCC.
  • The Range Aide will arrive one hour before class starts, gets the program golf cart and ferries RiderCoaches from range to the motorcycle storage area.
  • Will make sure that all range supplies are on the motorcycle range at the beginning of class.
  • The Range aide assists with the setup of the course (various exercises that the students must ride) per the Range Aide manual. At the end of the class, Range Aide will make sure that all range supplies are returned to the motorcycle storage area and will assist the Rider Coaches with getting the motorcycles into a secured area.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Candidates who hold a motorcycle license preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Background checks with motor vehicle record search will be required before assignment is finalized.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit.  Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift items.  The employee is directly responsible for safety, wellbeing, and work output.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.


SALARY:                 $ 11.00 an hour
