ADJUNCT FACULTY – EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION and DEVELOPMENT

The College is seeking an individual to teach in the early childhood education and development  or strongly related field with online instruction experience required. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach courses in the discipline with clear and measurable objectives.
  • Must be able to teach both on-ground and online classes.
  • Prepare instructional materials such as syllabi, course outlines, examinations, etc.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development while sustaining desirable classroom results.
  • Collaborate fully with students, faculty, administrators, and community organizations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field required.
  • Additional subject area in special education with Kansas teaching license preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit.  Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift items.  The employee is directly responsible for safety, wellbeing, and work output.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, viewing computer monitors for prolonged periods of time and the ability to adjust focus.  The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SALARY: $742 per credit hour
