EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
 
RESOURCE CENTER PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANT –
KCKCC Technical Education Center

 
Reporting directly to the Dean of Operations, this full-time position serves as the customer service
contact for the Resource Center.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Open the Resource Center and prepare all equipment for staff and student use.
  2. Check in periodicals as they arrive, deliver to mail boxes and maintain periodical collection.
  3. Assist students with computers as needed (log in information:  Microsoft Office Suite, etc).
  4. Assist faculty with program required photocopies and special projects.
  5. Assist students and faculty in online database searches.
  6. Assist students and faculty during research with books, other printed materials and audio-visual equipment.
  7. Facilitate placement testing including, but not limited to:  Compass, Accuplacer and WorkKeys.
  8. Proctor various credentialing testing as needed including, but not limited to, Medical Assistant, Major Appliance Repair, Automotive Technology, Automotive Collision Repair.
  9. Maintain copier and other supplies for Resource Center equipment as needed.
  10. Assist students with filling out financial aid applications and student loan paperwork.
  11. Assist prospective students with filling out the online application.
  12. Assist students with accessing WebAdvisor for schedules, grades, Financial Aid status, etc.
  13. Assist students with resumes and job applications.
  14. Assist with providing accommodations as required by ADA.
  15. Maintain current job postings bulletin board.
  16. Create and develop a Testing Center for credentialing purposes for all TEC programs.
  17. Create and maintain schedule for Testing Center.
 
CONSULTING TASKS:
  1. Assist the Receptionist/Technical Assistant as needed during absences and with mailings, copying projects and maintaining proper signage for special events.
  2. Assist with enrollment as needed.
  3. Assist the Cafeteria and Bookstore cashier as needed.
  4. Assist with campus tours and college promotional events as needed.
  5. Other duties as assigned.
 
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1.  None.
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  1. Associate’s Degree required.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  2. Three (3) years customer service required.

SALARY:                 $27,699.53
                                (If a current KCKCC employee is selected for this position, consideration will be given to his/her current salary.)
