Job title: Motorcycle Instructor
Reports to: Director of Adult and Continuing Education

Supervises: Range Aids
Position type: Part-Time 20 hours a weekend
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Job Purpose: Classroom and range instructor for BRC Motorcycle safety instruction.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare classroom for class
  • Get AV equipment up and running
  • Distribute material and work books
  • Guide class thru classroom portion of BRC
  • On range, pre run all motorcycles
  • Size motorcycles to students
  • Guide class thru range exercises
  • Upon conclusion of all exercises, run testing and score students
  • Note any Damage to motorcycles on whiteboard
  • Finish classroom, give and score written test
  • Make arrangements for students who fail ether test to return and retake test
  • Sign driver DE99 and distribute along with MSF completion card
  • Release class
  • Finish up paperwork to include Weavers, Performance Competencies, review accident reports or injury report
  • Clean up classroom
  • Send class report to Coordinator
  • Make sure Lead/Trainer is aware of any Motorcycle Issues or problems that occurred during the class.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • MSF—BRC certified instructors

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:

  • Teaching experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

 

SALARY RANGE:   $20.00 an hour (400.00 weekend)

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Must be able to work a variable schedule/varying hours to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours; as needed.
