Job Title: Adjunct Faculty – General Chemistry lecture and lab

Job Purpose: Primarily for the liberal arts, allied Health, and non-science majors, General Chemistry 109 develops the principles of inorganic, organic, and biochemistry. Three lecture periods and two 2 hour lab periods are required weekly. The class starts at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

 

Qualification Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Knowledge of the Chemistry Field.
  2. Knowledge of learning processes, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology.
  3. Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, and students.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. A Master’s degree in Chemistry preferred with a minimum of 18 graduate college credit hours in the chemistry.
  2. Instruction in educational theory and techniques, which may include college courses, seminars, or in-service education.
  3. Teaching experience preferred.

SALARY: $757 per credit hour (unless you have worked with us before)
