QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Participate with and assist faculty in the development, implementation, and integration of simulation activities for nursing students.
2. Serve as faculty to students in teaching scenario/learning situations of nursing skills, simulations, and debriefing sessions.
3. Train faculty, support staff and students in selected technical aspects of simulation.
4. Provide instructional support in the simulation lab for students and faculty to improve competencies and skills in meeting course objectives through simulations.
5. Develop and conduct evaluation of the effectiveness in providing simulation learning.
6. Maintain and update simulation lab to include, but not limited to, identifying software; supply and equipment needs; monitoring simulation equipment; troubleshooting and resolving problems.

 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 

1. Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required.  Master of Science degree in Nursing required.
2. Must be licensed in Kansas or Missouri and eligible for licensure in Kansas/Missouri.
3. A minimum of 2 years’ of nursing experience required;
4. One year of teaching experience preferred; must be willing to maintain clinical competence.

 
SALARY:                   Commensurate with education and experience per the Master 
                                   Contract.
 
START DATE:          Fall Semester, 2015
