JOB PURPOSE:
To help student’s master subject matter and skills that will contribute to their personal and intellectual development.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Convene scheduled clinical in accordance with college policy.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Provide learning activities that meet course objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear learning objectives for clinical experiences.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or discipline.

  • Integrate available instructional technology when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Communicate effectively using reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills with students, faculty, staff, and administration.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Must have or be able to obtain Master of Science degree in the field of nursing within 5 years.
  • Kansas or Missouri licensure required; eligible for Kansas licensure if not currently.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; 1 year of teaching experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. The employee is directly responsible for safety, wellbeing, and work output.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

 

SALARY: $ 45.36 per hour (180 hours total)


WORK SCHEDULE:
Must be able to work a variable schedule/varying hours to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours; as needed.
