DEAN OF ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversight of enrollment services at all site locations.
  • Promote an environment in which students are respected and welcomed regardless of differences such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, and special needs.
  • Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive enrollment management plan.
  • Ensure compliance with college policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in interviewing candidates and recommend appointments to open staff positions.
  • Maintain up to date position descripts for office staff.
  • Serve on committees/councils.
  • Direct, plan and oversight of budgets preparation and expenditures in all offices under direct supervision.
  • Ensures accurate and confidential handling of student and staff records and data.
  • Coordinate with Information Services for data management and storage of student records.
  • Cooperate with the Business Office concerning collection of tuition and fees and monitoring compliance with government financial aid regulations and management of loan default rate.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team setting with administrators, faculty, and staff across the institution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
CONSULTING TASKS
  • Advising Directors in yearly reporting and budget development.
  • Consulting with the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs regarding procedures and policies in all offices under the Dean’s supervision.
  • Assist with the Vice President’s office in the preparation of the academic calendar.
  • Assisting with the college’s compliance with FERPA and related local, state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with cross-functional department activities incorporating consideration for broader organizational perspectives that contribute to success.
 
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Directors in the division of enrollment management.
  • Supervising the “Holds” placed in student records and the release of “holds”.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures related to Admissions, Records Management, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and Learning/Disability Resource Services.
  • Must possess ability to work with, motivate and evaluate a variety of personalities, make firm, intelligent, and equitable decisions and be able to function in stressful situation.
  • Must possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must possess supervisory, time management and organizational skills.
  • Must possess the ability to manage conflict ensuring least disruption.
  • Must possess knowledge of non-traditional students’ concerns and challenges.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to use technology to strengthen and expand processes and services.
  • Working knowledge of web-based student information system-Ellucian preferred.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
  • Doctorate degree required. Experience in some phase of the Enrollment Management area. Community College experience preferred.
  • Coursework or workshop attendance on federal/state regulations affecting Admissions/Records, Financial Aid, Learning Disability Resources (e.g. Family Education Right to Privacy Act, Right to Know, ADA etc.)
  • Work experience in a combination of admissions, records, financial aid, academic resource, and Veterans’ Affairs offices.
  • Successful upper level management experience and a minimum of five years’ experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Evidence of effective use of an integrated student information system-Ellucian preferred.

SALARY:           $95,000.00
