ADJUNCT FACULTY – DEVELOPMENTAL READING INSTRUCTOR

Kansas City Kansas Community College is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach developmental reading courses beginning August 2017. The ideal candidate will be articulate, creative, flexible, and passionate about the subject area.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

A master’s degree in reading education, or a master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in reading education is required. Teaching experience with a diverse population of an open enrollment, urban community college is preferred. A working knowledge of learning management systems and instructional technology is also required.

 

Assignments may be on the main campus or at the Pioneer Career Center with day, evening, and Saturday meeting patterns possible.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

 

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

START DATE: Fall Semester 2017

 

SALARY: $742.00per credit hour
