ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The assistant women’s basketball coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the recruitment and retention of our student athletes. Assist with recruiting, game planning, practice planning, individual skill development, academic success, strength and conditioning, inventory and maintenance of equipment as well as the organization of our program.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Support head coach in implementing concepts and strategies. Knowledge of basketball fundamentals and rules, ability to effectively interact with coaches, student-athletes, faculty, staff, students, and general public, excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work within college, conference, and NJCAA rules and regulations required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience coaching at high school or college level.

The employee is directly responsible for safety, wellbeing, and work output.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

SALARY: The salary for this position is: $28,000 annually
(If a current KCKCC employee is selected for this position, consideration will be given to current salary.)
