FULL-TIME FACULTY –Biology

The individual in this position will be responsible for teaching a variety of biology related courses each term. The individual may teach classes in face-to-face or online modes. They must be able to articulate an understanding of, and an appreciation for, an urban, comprehensive, and open-door community college.

 

Requirements qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in biology or related area, Ph.D. preferred.

  • 2-3 years of higher education instruction.

  • Experience as a productive team member.

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

  • Experience in teaching either anatomy and physiology, or microbiology and lab.

     

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Familiarity with online instruction.

  • Experience in teaching multiple preparations such as: anatomy, cell biology, nutrition, physiology, microbiology, general biology, environmental science, diversity of organisms, etc.

  • Community college teaching experience.

FLSA: Exempt

 

STARTS: Position available Fall Semester, 2017

 

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience per the Master Contract.
