ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The College is seeking an individual to teach in the early childhood development and education or strongly related field with blended online instruction experience required.  Additional subject area in special education with Kansas teaching license preferred. All early childhood courses use the college designated course management system Blackboard.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Master’s degree in the subject field or a master’s degree with at least eighteen (18) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields (e.g. early childhood, special education). 
  • Deliver online course expectations and facilitate blended course schedule posted for position offered (e.g. Saturday)
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Ph.D. in Child Development. Early Childhood, or Early Childhood Special Education
  • Evidence of proficiency in use of course management system Blackboard or similar CMS
  • 5+ years early childhood inclusive program administration (e.g. Head Start, Early Head Start, state licensed childcare center for 100+ children)
  • 5+ years early childhood inclusive program teaching/co-teaching
  • 3+ years College Teaching Experience
  • Evidence of significant Online Teaching experience or Certification
Full Time/Part Time 
This is a part-time contracted position and employment is contingent upon class enrollment per semester.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as the ability to read handwritten or typed material, viewing computer monitors for prolonged periods of time and the ability to adjust focus.  The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
 
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
 
SALARY: $742.00per credit hour
