This full-time position reports to the Dean of Academic Workforce programs.  The Front Office Technical Assistant serves as the initial customer service contact for the TEC incomcoming calls, as well as for walk-in inquiries made by students, faculty, staff and guests.  The Technical Education Center is in an exciting period of growth and development, and we are looking for a person with superlative customer service skills to function as a positive ambassador for the Center.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Ensure that the front office is open for business promptly at 7:00 AM-3:30 PM daily.
  2. As one of the initial points of contact for Technical Education Center, ensure that each customer has a positive and helpful customer service experience.
  3. Answer telephone inquiries for Technical Education Center and respond to walk-in student, faculty, staff, and guest inquiries at the Technical Education Center.
  4. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to the following: photocopying, filing, faxing and mailing.
  5. Sign for packages and deliveries and notify recipient.
  6. Log absences in appropriate books and provide information to proper persons as needed.
  7. As a member of the Technical Education Center, assist in all aspects of course registration.
  8. Assist with registration as needed during enrollment periods.
  9. Maintain a presence on social media and market the KCKCC Technical Education Center.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The person who would be successful in this position will possess the following attributes:

  4. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. One year Receptionist or Secretarial experience required.
  3. Associates Degree and training in computer and multimedia software preferred.

SALARY:                       $25,301.84 / year, plus fringe benefits 
(If a current KCKCC employee is selected for this position, consideration will be given to his/her current salary.)
